Delayed and Cancelled Flights, What an Inconvenience

With delayed and cancelled flights on the up rise, you may want to check airlines individually to see the amount of delays and cancellations associated with the particular airlines. Weather conditions, delays in air traffic and repairs often affect travelers when they experience delays and cancelled flights. Although weather and traffic problems affect all airlines, the repair issue is a little more serious. Sometimes airlines will allow a traveler to change their ticket to another airline that has a flight leaving before the main airline expects to be available. This is up to the airlines in question as to how they transfer tickets. All airlines have policies that reflect on delayed and cancelled flights, but they have very different guidelines.

Weather and Traffic Delayed and Cancelled Flights

The weather is the biggest problem for airlines when delaying and canceling flights. Fog, thunderstorms, ice, and snow all contribute to the problem. Airlines have to decide on your safety and if the weather can affect this, they may delay or cancel a flight until conditions are better. Normally if one airline cancels due to weather conditions, other flights follow suit. Traffic delayed and cancelled flights may be only short periods and usually is resolved in a timely manner.

Repairs to the Plane Delayed and Cancelled Flights

Repairs sometime take a plane out of service causing delays and cancelled flights. The case of other flight arrangements on a later flight or given the option to choose another airline that has a flight leaving before this, is entirely up to the airlines in question as to how they might handle such as transfer. Airlines try to accommodate passengers and have strict guidelines in place to handle such situations of delayed and cancelled flights.

Frustrating Delayed and Cancelled Flights

Although airlines try to offer solutions to the problem, people find themselves becoming frustrated and irritable when things do not flow smoothly. The airlines desk clerks and attendants have no control over the situation and usually end up with passengers getting restless and demanding. In most instances of delays and cancellations due to weather can be checked before you leave for the airport. Call and find out if your flight is on time or experiencing a delay and find out how long of a delay you may experience.
